It’s December and after the year we’ve had, some of you might be considering a road trip with the kids or a fun getaway with friends. Trust us, staying organized makes for a less stressful car ride.
Keep clutter out of the driver’s area. A distracted driver is a bad driver, so make sure you have everything you will need before you pull out of the driveway. The person driving should have frequently used items (phone, sunglasses, etc.) close by while other items should remain clear of this area.
Stash your trash. Designate an easily accessible place where all passengers can dispose of their trash, and when you stop for fuel, remember to empty out the trash container to prevent it from overflowing.
Keep it cool. To help all passengers remain cool and hydrated, water bottles and insulated cooler bags are a must-have. Plus, if time is of the essence, bringing cold snacks and lunches with you is a great way to save money and avoid making unnecessary stops.
Compartmentalize. If you’re packing camping gear, picnic gear, clothes, or other items, be sure to keep those well sorted as well. Reusable storage bags and pack-it sacs are ideal for keeping everything from face masks and hand sanitizers to chargers, earbuds, and drawing supplies organized.
