Keep Your Kitchen Clean And Organised With These Simple Kitchen Hacks

Having a messy kitchen space can make the whole house look disorganised and untidy. An organised kitchen space makes all the difference; it becomes more functional, presentable, and you feel good using that space.

  • Organize the sink area first. Put disinfectant cleaners, dishwashing soap, hand soaps, and other cleaning products in glass or plastic amber bottles that can be reused and refilled. Plastic bottles are great for decorating your countertops and keeping everyday used products at an arm’s reach without leaving marks and drops on your sink.
  • Get yourself a spoon rest. This will save you from messy marks left on the counter or using paper towels to keep your spoon on while cooking. It also decorates your kitchen look while you prepare meals and you don’t have to worry about rinsing your spoons after every use. Try using a mini tray to keep your liquid products like oil and vinegar. This will help you keep your bottles neatly placed and appealing on your kitchen counter.
  • Drawer organization. I know this one probably makes you lazy and can be frustrating to find your tapes, remote, keys, letters and magazines in this drawer. Grab a bin container to separate everything, keep like items together and everything becomes easier to see and grab.
  • An important drawer in your kitchen needs special attention, right? Give your cutlery and utensils some TLC and empty out everything in your cutlery and utensils drawer. Get yourself a cutlery divider or a utensil organiser. Once everything is packed, your drawers are now easy to open, pull out and more space is now available for you to buy new utensils. Cutlery dividers and utensil organisers keep everything separated and organised just the way you like.
  • Tea drawer. Never store with other foods, particularly fragrant items like spices and coffee. Store different types separately as they can absorb each other’s flavours. Your first step is to take out all the tea bags from containers or boxes. Place your tea in this drawer, neatly pack it with your favourite teas and put in a drawer. This will save you space in your cupboards. Your tea collection will be easy to find with an added professional, appetising look.
  • Get ready to feel like a real chef by getting your spices organized in a spice drawer. Storing your spices in a drawer and away from heat and light can prolong their freshness and protect flavour. In-drawer racks will help you organize your spices from least used to most used and give your cupboard an appealing look.
  • Pet food station. Finally, put your pet’s food in nice looking jars or containers along with affordable scoops to avoid spilling and messing up the floor. Refill the jars and scoop as much as you want. Did you know pets also eat with their eyes? Try giving them a five-star treat next time you dish up for them. They will enjoy this station.
